Classifications¶
A classification groups tags that share common attributes or behaviour — for example all pressure vessels, all centrifugal pumps, or all pipelines. Classification is the primary way X4D organises tags, and it drives cost codes, progressing templates, preservation templates, and data-sheet templates.
What you can do¶
- Navigate tags by classification within each discipline.
- Create and edit classifications.
- Define the mandatory documents expected for a classification.
- Use the transpose view to see a classification’s tags in a spreadsheet layout.
