Users, Roles & Permissions¶
Access to an X4D project is controlled per user. Each user is assigned the disciplines they are responsible for and the permissions that determine which modules and actions they can use. User administration is performed under the Administration → Users screen by a project administrator.
Initial administrator¶
- By default, the user who creates the project database is added with the Administrator role.
- The administrator can then assign responsible discipline(s) and module permissions to themselves and to other users.
Adding a user¶
- Open X4D, select the project, and Login.
- Go to Administration → Users.
- Enter the user’s personal information (name, surname, email).
- Check the responsible discipline(s) for the user.
- Add the required permission(s) and click the arrow to move them into the user’s Permissions list.
- Click Save User, then Save All.
Registration requests¶
New users can self-request access with Request Registration from the login screen; the administrator then reviews the request, assigns disciplines and permissions, and activates the account. See Administration → Requests & Approvals for the full flow.
Note
Confirm the exact roles/permission set and add screenshots.
