X4D Work Packages¶
A work package is a defined, manageable scope of work — a set of tags, documents, and 3D model objects grouped for planning, execution, and progress measurement.
The AWP hierarchy¶
X4D supports the standard Advanced Work Packaging classifications:
- CWA — Conceptual Work Authorization: the top-level work area / authorization.
- EWP — Engineering Work Package: the engineering scope that feeds construction.
- CWP — Construction Work Package: a manageable construction scope.
- FIWP — Field Installation/Inspection Work Package: the field-executable unit.
Packages use a flexible, parent/child hierarchy, so each level rolls up to the one above it.
Built on connected data¶
Because X4D Core keeps the Master Tag Registry in sync across the 1D tag list, 2D drawings, 3D model, and 4D schedule, every package draws its scope from one source of truth — and the same tags carry through to Progressing and Preservation.
